Teach Your Children, by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young (1972) – see lyrics here.
Sound from a distant whistle pierces the silence of night, as a growing thunder of steel travels on tracks through time, slowing near town. People are asleep in bed, dreaming while the train rolls on rails, carrying the faint rhythm of a harmonica flowing free from an open boxcar. The song remains the same, as all sound slips slowly back into darkness, down the line.

After enjoying “Rusty Rose“, a wonderfully creative mixed media artwork by my dear friend, Tiffany Arp-Daleo, a Bohemiam Abstract artist residing in San Diego, California – and, knowing that she also enjoys the Grateful Dead – I was inspired to write this poem in response…
Just like San Diego 🎨
Just like old road trip shows 😎
Your art sings like Jerry 🎶

In my youth, I removed these old glass bottles from the earth using sticks and sharp-edged rocks as digging implements. Today, I continue to admire the beauty and unique imperfections inherent in each.
Can you dig it?
If so, you can uncover wonderful prints in these shops…Pixels, ArtPal and Zazzle.
