There are several areas along the road in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park with wonderful views, such as this spot. If you’d rather not have to travel for such sights, you could instead pick out a print from any of my shops and enjoy this view in your home, all year long! A morning sun rises over the Smoky Mountains, as seen from Luftee Overlook, located near Newfound Gap & Clingmans Dome. You can visit my gallery to find many fine prints available, perfect for a wall in your home, at the office, or as a gift to give to family and/or friends.
More specifically, yesterday morning. This black and white morning photograph was taken along the (new) Foothills Parkway, highlighting a stormy sky over the Smoky Mountains, with fog below in the town of Wears Valley, Tennessee. A variety of prints are available in my gallery. Thanks for stopping by!
I shot this Smoky Mountains sunrise photograph from a scenic overlook along the (old) Foothills Parkway, near Townsend, Tennessee. Currently under construction, I’m looking forward to returning to this area. Meanwhile, you can enjoy my photography on many fine prints and other items, when you visit these galleries –
There are times I feel I should refrain
From the sounds that drum as rhyme
Yet, your beauty shines through poetry
Like your smile, your words sublime
Having read “Twilight’s First Blush“, written by a lovely poetess and friend from the Valley of the Sun, Michele Lee Sefton – wherein she conveys a romantic recollection at dawn & shares her welcomed sense of humor – I was inspired to write this poem in response…
On a late night cruise
To a rendezvous
Just seventeen miles or so
It’s the magic hour
When night fades to day
And the cock begins to crow
In romantic waves
Rhythm fills the air
Glances cast amorously
Soon, a warm embrace
On the edge of love
Two hearts sing in rhapsody
Til the morning draws
Colors peach to blue
As faint starlight blinks farewell
Cheers, to drift once more
On this desert sea
Over sand and under spell
