  • Poem: Wishing on a Star

    Poem: Wishing on a Star

I originally wrote this poem on December 22, 2020, in response to reading “Make a Wish to a Star and It Will Come True“, by Carla Milho, a very lovely lady and talented writer from Lisbon, Portugal. I then posted it on my site a few days later, as part of a compilation. And, now…freestanding.

⭐ A light to the east,
    	After dark
    	In the sky.

    🕊 A dove is released,
    	And my wish
    	Came to fly.

    🙏 Bound for the heavens,
    	With trust
    	In a prayer.

    ❤️ The woman I love,
    	With hope
    	We will share.

  • Layers of a City

    Layers of a City

When your apartment in the city looks the same as nine other locations, it can be difficult to find your way home. Also, don’t forget the level upon which you reside!

Breadcrumbs might help, though the population of pigeons pose a problem. And, caring for dozens of pets – birds that remember where you live – can be time consuming.

Instead, you can shop from home for cool gift and apparel items available through the following galleries: Redbubble, Society 6, Pixels and Cafepress.

  • Star in Sky

    Star in Sky

An old photograph of layered clouds with texture, sketchy freehand and digital watercolor effects added. And, a star in the sky. You can discover a wide variety of great gift and apparel items – perfect for the holidays – when you visit the following galleries: Redbubble, Society 6 and Pixels. Thanks for stopping by!

  • Poem: She Placed a Star

    Poem: She Placed a Star

I wrote this poem for a friend who is a frequent source of inspiration, Mukti Masih – a published poetess, freelance writer and beautiful woman from India…

I watched as she placed a star in the night sky
Fixed by her gentle touch, as though meant to be
    Brilliantly aglow in its constellation
Within my heart, I have a space for Mukti

    I read her verse
    A birthday gift
    The words rang true, indeed

    If I may ask
    Just one more time
    I’ll listen and pay heed

    Please hear my call
    Through prayer today
    Desires of the heart

    To find a way
    And bridge the gap
    Together, make a start

Eternity so long, when love lives alone
Like an empty house, with one room but no phone

    Longing for her voice
    As the day draws near
    Both hands, hand-in-hand
    Our path ahead clear
