Icicles on Gorge Wall
These icicles were photographed while hiking on the trail between Upper and Lower Piney Falls, located on the Cumberland Plateau in the Piney Falls State Natural Area, near Grandview, TN.
It’s a nice contrast between green moss and white ice, which would look wonderful behind glass in a frame on a wall in your home. You can find many prints available in my gallery, so stop by for a visit when you’re in the neighborhood…

House Mountain
Only ten miles from Knoxville, House Mountain is located in Corryton, Tennessee. It’s the highest peak in Knox County, with an elevation of 2110-feet above sea level.
With seasonably warm temperatures, yesterday, I hiked approximately five miles and enjoyed a display of colorful autumn foliage. From a base elevation of 1000-feet, I ascended the White Trail, which ends at the West End Overlook and features views toward Knoxville, the Great Smoky Mountains and the Cumberland Mountains out toward Oak Ridge.
Prints Available
You can visit my gallery at Pixels to discover many fine prints of the photographs featured, herein. Print types include: framed, canvas, art, metal, wood, poster, acrylic and tapestry. Framed prints may also be customized, with options for size, frame, mat, mat width and paper.

On top of House Mountain, the 1.5 mile Crest Trail allows hikers to traverse a scenic ridge. Here are a few photographs:
At the end of the line, the East End Overlook provides a view of Clinch Mountain, the parent of House Mountain, and the ridge and valley toward Blaine and Rutledge. Here are a few photographs from the East End Overlook:
With expansive views and several flat rocks available for seating, I enjoyed a snack and conversation with other hikers before backtracking to the Blue Trail, to begin my descent.

Art In Nature
I shot this photograph several years ago, while living in the city of Ann Arbor, Michigan, during a period where temperatures were sustained near zero degrees fahrenheit. Over this time, the wind went to work by carving frigid snow drifts to produce this artful display. Perhaps you may enjoy this image, also. If so, I have several print types available in my gallery. So, stop by and find something you like. Thanks!
