Oftentimes, creative people excel in several areas. This is the case with my beautiful friend from India – Mukti Masih. I’ve enjoyed reading her poetry, and, seeing her wonderful paintings, was inspired to write this short poem:
She stood by a wall
A wall with her art
I marveled at both
Felt warmth in my heart
A camp on the lake
Moonlit glowing skies
Reflections of light
From stars, and her eyes

After leading an exciting path in the fashion world in New York City and traveling the world with the marketing of new products, Natalie finally decided there was a need for a career change. She picked up some broken tiles and paint and began a new career in the art world. With no formal training in art, she taught herself through experimenting and trial and error. Her love for texture, color, and patterns can be seen throughout her work.
