Ijams Nature Center
Yesterday I visited Mead’s Quarry Lake, part of the Ijams Nature Center, a 315-acre park along the Tennessee River in Knoxville, where I hiked for a few hours. Mining operations in the early 1900’s included extraction of limestone and marble, and remnants of milled-stone are evident throughout the park. Here are a few photographs of the area:

House Mountain
Only ten miles from Knoxville, House Mountain is located in Corryton, Tennessee. It’s the highest peak in Knox County, with an elevation of 2110-feet above sea level. Tennessee Theater In Knoxville
It was probably the late-80’s when last I saw Fiddler On The Roof. Many years later (yesterday), I attended & enjoyed the matinee showing at the Tennessee Theater in Knoxville. I’d hoped that I might bump into a friend, but didn’t see her – maybe some other time.

It isn’t very often that I attend a musical play. In fact, it’s been several years. But, when a friend informed me that the Tennessee Theatre in Knoxville would be presenting Fiddler On The Roof over the holidays, I decided I’d like to attend the show… Looking forward to it!!!
