  • Morning in the Mountains

More specifically, yesterday morning. These photographs were taken in the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina and Tennessee, and include shots from Luftee Overlook, Newfound Gap and the trail to Clingman’s Dome. If you’re looking for an accent piece to decorate a wall at home, you’ll find many fine prints available in my gallery.

    Thanks for visiting!

  • Cades Cove

    Cades Cove

Here’s another view of Cades Cove, as photographed from my vehicle along the roadside. This historical region was home to early European settlers, and features several old churches, cabins and a grist mill. Visitors might also encounter bears, prevalent within this verdant valley, along the 11-mile (one way) scenic drive. You can find prints in my gallery, which make a great gift-giving idea, as well as an excellent accent piece for your home or office. Thanks for stopping by!

  • Return to Emory Gap Falls

Located in the Cumberland Mountains at Wartburg, Tennessee, the Frozen Head State Park and Natural Area has many trails in over 24,000 acres of wilderness. One such trail is a 3 mile out and back hike to the 20-foot tall Emory Gap Falls.

Unlike parks in the Smoky Mountains, where the volume of tourists can at times be excessive, Frozen Head is a more remote location to enjoy the great outdoors. In fact, on this particular occasion, I was the only visitor present at the falls.

If you might enjoy one of my photographs on an empty wall in your home, or to share as a gift with family and/or friends, then I encourage you to visit my gallery at Fine Art America and select the perfect accent piece! Options include: framed, canvas, art, wood, tapestry, poster, metal and acrylic.

    Thanks for stopping by!

  • Upper Catawba Falls

    Upper Catawba Falls

An idyllic setting, Upper Catawba Falls stands 50-feet tall and is located 26 miles east of Asheville, North Carolina, in the Pisgah National Forest. The trail is difficult though the beauty substantial, and, on each of my two visits, I had the place to myself.

You can enjoy this scenery on a wall in your home, school, business or workplace, when you visit my galleries to select the perfect accent piece! See more in these shops: Pixels, Redbubble and ArtPal.

Available print types include framed, canvas, metal, art, acrylic, poster, wood and tapestry. And, framed prints may be customized to make it your own. Thanks for stopping by!

  • Return to Upper Greeter Falls

    Return to Upper Greeter Falls

Within the South Cumberland State Park is the Savage Gulf State Natural Area. It’s located near Altamont, Tennessee, and houses Upper Greeter Falls, a picturesque 10-foot tall waterfall.

There are no restrooms or drinking fountain, plenty of parking and no gate. The trail is manageable and well-kept. And, of course, the waterfall is conveniently situated near its counterpart – Lower Greeter Falls. More on that another time.

    Prints & More

You can decorate an empty wall in your home or office with a print when you visit my gallery. It would also look nice in a business lobby, cafeteria setting or hospital.

Select from these fine print types: framed, canvas, art, metal, wood, poster, acrylic and tapestry.

  • Small Falls on Bruce Creek

    Along The Trail

I photographed this small waterfall – approximately seven feet tall – while hiking along the trail to Triple Falls. Bruce Creek is strewn with boulders and provides visitors many scenic cascades.
