  • Moss on the Water

    Moss on the Water

You can find prints available in my gallery. This is Thunderhead Prong, located in the Tremont section of the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. It would look wonderful in a frame on an empty wall…in your home?

  • Andrews Bald

Located near Clingmans Dome in North Carolina, Andrews Bald is the highest elevation grassy meadow in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

The area was named for Andres Thompson, a cattle herder, who, in the 1840’s, brought livestock up the mountain to graze on hillsides.

Though less than 4 miles out and back, the trail is rated as moderately difficult due to an elevation change of 1200-feet. This is especially evident upon return, as the hike is entirely uphill.

If you’re interested in adding an accent piece to an empty wall in your home or place of employment, you can find many prints available in my gallery – framed, canvas, art, metal, wood, poster, acrylic and tapestries.

Hope to see you soon ~ thanks for stopping by!

  • Clingmans Dome

Located in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park along the state line between North Carolina and Tennessee, Clingmans Dome is a popular tourist destination. So much so, that on any given good-weather day, visitors may observe vehicles with license plates from 25 or more states.

From the parking area, it’s a short 1/2 mile hike along a paved trail, though the grade is quite steep. As such, there are several benches along the way on which to rest. There’s also a gift shop & restrooms.

Standing 6,643-feet tall, Clingmans Dome is both the tallest mountain in the park and in the state of Tennessee. It’s also the highest point along the 2,192-mile Appalachian Trail, and the third tallest mountain (after Mount Mitchell and Mount Craig) east of the Mississippi River. Lastly, it’s the 17th tallest mountain in the United States of America.

If you’d be interested in a fine print, you can see more in my gallery.

    Cades Cove

Here’s another view of Cades Cove, as photographed from my vehicle along the roadside. This historical region was home to early European settlers, and features several old churches, cabins and a grist mill.
