    Emory Gap Falls

Standing 20-feet tall in the Frozen Head State Park of Tennessee, Emory Gap Falls can be enjoyed on a 3 mile out and back hike. As with many other waterfalls, it’s best to visit the site following rain – especially during summer months. As seen here, the area also provides interesting geological features. You can visit my galleries at Pixels and ArtPal to discover fine prints & more!

    Thanks very much!

  • Rocks, Water and Trees

Apparently, these chaotic rocks have been stationary long enough for a medium-sized tree to call the area home. These photographs were taken at Emory Gap Falls, in the Frozen Head State Park and Natural Area, at Wartburg, Tennessee. The falls, obscured from view by boulders, stand 20-feet tall. Prints & more available.

    Stack of Boulders

This photograph taken at the Frozen Head State Park and Natural Area features the 20-foot tall Emory Gap Falls, situated in the background behind a stack of jumbled boulders and a tree. A variety of fine prints are available in my gallery.

  • Return to Emory Gap Falls

Located in the Cumberland Mountains at Wartburg, Tennessee, the Frozen Head State Park and Natural Area has many trails in over 24,000 acres of wilderness. One such trail is a 3 mile out and back hike to the 20-foot tall Emory Gap Falls.

Unlike parks in the Smoky Mountains, where the volume of tourists can at times be excessive, Frozen Head is a more remote location to enjoy the great outdoors. In fact, on this particular occasion, I was the only visitor present at the falls.

If you might enjoy one of my photographs on an empty wall in your home, or to share as a gift with family and/or friends, then I encourage you to visit my gallery at Fine Art America and select the perfect accent piece! Options include: framed, canvas, art, wood, tapestry, poster, metal and acrylic.

    Thanks for stopping by!

I took this morning photograph recently while hiking at Frozen Head State Park, located in Wartburg, Tennessee. I hope you’ll visit my gallery to see a variety of fine prints available. • Side Waterfall

    Side Waterfall

After visiting Potter’s Falls, I drove 20-minutes to the Frozen Head State Park, where I hiked 1.5 miles out and back to Debord Falls. Along the trail, which parallels Emory Gap Branch, several smaller waterfalls were present, given recent rainfall, including as featured in this photograph. You can see prints available in my gallery. Thanks!
