    Reflections from this morning…

    Two lines in time
    Reflect as one
    In unison

    Poem in Response

After reading “The Best Gift“, written by the talented and beautiful poetess, Annabel – wherein she shares finding happiness through love and faith along her journey from home – I was inspired to write this poem…

    The gift of self love
    To make oneself whole
    Will reap great rewards
    Enliven your soul

    Poem of Sharing

Following correspondence with a dear friend and frequent source of inspiration – Carla Milho, a lovely lady and talented writer hailing from Lisbon, Portugal – I wrote this poem…

    Hearts in Hands of Time

A locket lost in the sands of time
On a beach, on a date, long ago
As lovers captured a setting sun
Holding hands, moving close, hearts aglow

    In the years since passed
    Now, a quiet life
With the fire kept warm, alive

    Down memory lane
    As husband and wife
Still in love, on a moonlight drive

In the twilight between dusk and dawn
Step by step, tracking prints, shifting sand
Reflections on gold, one summer night
Found again, on the beach, hand in hand

    Poem in Response

Having read “Living Green and Dancing with Love” by Arizonian poetess, Michele Lee Sefton – in which she speaks about food, nurturing gardens and family – I was inspired to write this poem in response…

    Your stature as poet, inspirational
    Your beauty in dance, divine

Your thumb in the garden, green
A woman of talent, impressively fine.

  • Poem: Two Hearts

    Poem: Two Hearts

She found her heart one day beneath an old sweater
That was lost in the attic of her yesteryear
Collecting dust of memories long forgotten
She took it back for want of love that she found pure

    Across the sea
    4000 miles
    Another heart did beat

    In a young man
    Whose love for her
    Would make their lives complete

Together they would rule the world
    Two hearts, one love intwined
To share this blessing they have found
    Heaven on earth, defined

    Holding hands in the park
    sipping wine after dark
    They were married last spring

Now, they live happily by the ocean in a unique home which he built out of several shipping containers. She’s a thriving romance novelist, writing from her office which opens to a courtyard garden, in the center of their house. Together, they share stories in real time – a day in the lives of two dreamers who took a chance to embrace true love.

The best is yet to come. Believe.

    Spinning Geometric Abstract

If you suffer from vertigo, I would suggest that you immediately flee the vicinity, never to peer into this spinning, geometric anomaly. If not, then I would suggest that you visit my shops at Society 6 & Pixels, where you’ll discover some really cool items as gift-giving ideas for the Christmas holiday season.

    Thanks for stopping by, Santa!

  • An Aspiring Writer

    An Aspiring Writer

Do You Speak Portuguese? I don’t, but I have a friend from Portugal who is an aspiring writer with a Google Translate button in the sidebar – she is Carla Milho.

I encourage you to visit her site and follow her work! She’s an honest, truthful person who writes from the heart with sincerity and passion, following her dreams through engaging, life-experience discussions of ambition and goal-setting, an appeal to self-improvement, cautious tales of deleterious external influences, the value of family and friendships & other points of interest.

  • Holiday Greeting Cards

I took this photograph on November 5, 2019, while hiking near Barnett Bridge at the Obed Wild And Scenic River National Park, in Wartburg, Tennessee. One of my favorite recent-pictures, it’s now available on holiday greeting cards for Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day and Easter.
