Having read “Taking Strolls in Shillong“, written by my friend Mukti Masih, a beautiful poetess, Christian, successful entrepreneur and chai-totaler hailing from Indore, India – wherein she shares rewarding experiences while walking in the capital city of Meghalaya – I was inspired to write this poem…
The call of Shillong
Resounds in your heart
Through words from the Lord
With which to impart

May the trail upon which you tread
From light of life
To dark of dead
Reward your days a worthy prize

Forever wise

Having read “How a workation from Shillong looked like” by Mukti Masih, a very beautiful poetess, Christian, chai-totaler and successful Content Writer from Indore, India – wherein she recounts a visit to one of her favorite cities while working to complete a second book – I was inspired to write this short poem in response…
By wi-fi she works
From the mountains of Shillong
In the markets and parks, then back home
Unlocking her words
That her heart may sing on key
Through prayer, by her love, in a poem

May the days ahead
Within this new year
Foster your will to achieve
That you make great strides
And help those in need
Keep the faith, always believe
