Not recorded on any nautical charts, nor assigned a GPS location, this blue island exists only momentarily, during a window of time corresponding with the presence of a blue moon.

Standing 120-feet tall, Mingo Falls is located on the Cherokee Indian Reservation, in the southern Appalachian mountains near Cherokee, North Carolina. It’s a short uphill hike with many steps and can be enjoyed by visitors of all ages!

Then, pursue a trail of stars as we indulge in grand equatorial vistas of Mars, along the Tharsis Rise. Sojourners, we’ll return to sink our feet into the sands of Jost Van Dyke and wet our whistles at the Soggy Dollar Bar, as the Caribbean Sea glistens with life before our eyes, calling us to swim again.
