Description
Located in the upper peninsula harbor of Marquette, Michigan, this iron ore dock was once busy servicing large freighter ships, hauling raw materials through the great lakes for distribution. Here, years later, the structure has since been disconnected from the railroad and sits idle. Visible along the left side of the picture is the harbor break wall, shielding the port from the often rough waters of Lake Superior.
