Middle Fork Falls

Located along route TN-62, only a short distance from Oliver Springs, Tennessee, Middle Fork Falls is a roadside attraction with limited parking and easy access. As for the orange streaks present on the rock, this is common to many waterfalls I’ve visited – presumably, a mineral prevalent in this area. You can discover many fine prints in my gallery.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I wouldn’t mind a dunking in that refreshing water just about now. We are in a heat wave this weekend. Not complaining…our summers are too short! I always enjoy your photographs of the area that I presume might be close to your backyard! Have a great weekend Phil.

    1. Thank you, dear Louise. Indeed, there are many such places to enjoy – plunge pools beneath the falls. This spot is 1/2 hour away, where I stopped to take photographs before driving another 1/2 hour down the road for a hike. Wishing you a cooler weekend, my friend.
