Time is Precious

Time is precious
It’s of the essence
It’s here, then gone
From adolescence

The time you have
And the time you take
The things you’ve done
And the plans you make
The sights you’ve seen
Now a memory
And what’s to come
Yet a fantasy

Time marches on
Though nary a sound
Hands on the wall
Each day spin around

Time is fleeting
Take note and behold
Lessons in life
With age, growing old

Make your time count
To be a good friend
Share happiness
And love to the end

  1. Oh my goodness Phil, what a refreshing and “timely” poem you’ve created my friend. I think the older we get, we ruminate about time for obvious reasons. Let’s make this moment, this hour, this day count. Everything you mentioned here is on point for all of us to think about. 🥰⏳🤗⏰😊 I’ve shared some thoughts about time in the past and the essence of your message lingers in every person, regardless of age. Thanks for sharing, and have a FANtabulous day my Master Poetic Photographer. 😍💖🤩🦋🌞💋📷✍🏼

    • You are so much pun (fun!), my dear friend Kym!! 😁 Yours are lovely words and I appreciate your kindness ~ thank you very much! I have three fresh 😘😘😘 special delivery, addressed to you (because these are emoji kisses, they’ll keep for some “time”)! 😂 Also wishing you a wonderful Friday! 🤗🌹

    Wonderful poem! ❤️

    • Heel erg bedankt, mijn beste vriendin Inge! En ook voor je prachtige poëzie als antwoord, mooi en heel goed geschreven!! I’m so glad you liked it, my friend ~ thank you! ❤️

  3. May time be synonymous with love and solidarity and may every second that passes be the reason for the joy of all those who have the joy of being in your life.
Deep and heartfelt verses that invite us to reflect.
    A pleasure to read.
    Best regards.
