Canadian Goose

I was taking photographs yesterday on Little River in the Smoky Mountains, when I looked up and saw this goose standing on a log (or, is it a wooden Otter?) atop a rock in fast-moving water. It’s now available on fine prints & more in these shops.

Check it out…

  1. I think that piece of driftwood is really a wonderful piece of art by Mother nature. I photographed a piece of driftwood on a beach in Mexico that looked like a lizard. I love looking for naturally sculpted driftwood. That otter is awesome! Send that lost Canada Goose to 🇨🇦 . He is looking for his brothers and sister and they have been flying up north for the last two weeks or more.

    1. Hi, Louise ~ it’s nice to see you! Yes, the naturally sculpted driftwood is likely the root-system from a gnarly, fallen tree. I wonder if the goose recognized the otter? There was also a second goose, both of which flew downstream after 5 minutes or so. Thank you for your comment, and I wish you a wonderful Wednesday! 😊

        1. Haha I think that the goose may have thought he was the brave captain of a large sailing vessel, racing across choppy ocean waters, large and in charge! Or, maybe just taking a break. 🤗🌹
