Meadow Branch Cascade

Following my hike to Spruce Flats Falls, I drove in the direction of Cades Cove to take another look at Meadow Branch Cascade.

There’s no point of access to this site. Instead, one parks 1/4 mile further west along Laurel Creek Road – near the tunnel – and then backtracks following West Prong Little River. A steep dirt path leads downhill 20-feet to the water, where Meadow Branch Cascade is visible across the river.

Though I’d visited this spot a few times before, taking pictures from a distance, this time I decided to get my shoes wet and carefully walk through the river to the opposite side – and, then up the mountain.

Here are some photographs in sequence from my adventure…

It was a pleasant surprise, in that I’d only ever seen the cascades from across the river, and the view from there was obscured by overhanging trees. You’re right, it proved to be a very peaceful setting and I enjoyed my hike. Thank you for commenting, dear Khushi ~ have a great day 🤗🌹

I’m glad you like it, my friend. The view from across the river is limited, and so my decision to wade (only knee deep, with shoes) to the other side certainly proved to be a worthy endeavor. Have a nice evening, Tiffany 🙂
