Hike To Upper Meigs Falls

I recently hiked to Upper Meigs Falls, an 18-foot waterfall located in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. The trailhead – Meigs Creek Trail – begins at The Sinks, along Little River Gorge Road. It’s four miles out and back, and hikers must cross the creek on four occasions each way. Following rains when the water is high, it may be difficult to remain dry, and a walking stick or trekking poles are helpful implements.
